Exhibit overview: Working from life on the streets of Provincetown has exposed me to a wide range of conditions. Most days are sunny. Some are overcast. There's occasional rain. If just a sprinkle, I'll work under an umbrella. If it's really pouring, I'll work in my van and paint looking out the window. During the cold weather months there's usually some snow and here I'd be lost without the heat and shelter of my van. But in every case it's a confrontation with life, a dance between me and my responses with what's unfolding in front of my eyes. Of course there are the occasional bombs, which one of these days I might base an exhibit on. But no matter how disastrous the results, the painting still looks like it was done at the scene of the crime.
